The Ghana CSOs Platform on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was established in 2015 to ensure more coordinated civil society efforts in achieving the SDGs in Ghana. The Platform is a membership organization that currently counts over 300 members, including coalitions, associations, unions, CBOs, national and international NGOs and religious groups. The Platform is divided into 18 SDGs Sub-Platforms (one for each of the 17 SDGs and another for the Youth).

The main aim is to contribute to improved collaboration between duty-bearers and civil society and stronger accountability mechanisms for more sustainable development in Ghana.

The Platform engages with the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) and Ghana Statistical Service (GSS), and has ensured civil society representation in national development planning processes – the SDGs Implementation Coordinating Committee; the SDGs National Technical Committee and the Advisory Committee on SDGs of the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS). The Platform also has observer status with the High Level Ministerial Committee chaired by the Minister for Planning.

Kindly note that our membership is by organisations and not individuals. To sign up as a member of the Ghana CSOs Platform on SDGs, send an email to with information on which of the SDGs Sub-Platforms you are interested in joining (Not more than 3-Sub-Platform).
